Merrilyn is a full time professional award-winning artist. Although she specializes in oil paintings, she is successful with an assortment of artistic expressions. She is a published author and illustrator. Merrilyn is an accomplished silversmith and sculptor of stone, wood, and bone. Her paintings and other works are included in collections around the world.

Wind Spirit Studios is cradled in a peaceful Colorado Rocky Mountain valley only short distances from a plethora of En Plein Aire opportunities ranging from the vast beauties of the deserts to the grandeurs of timberline mountain wilderness. Merrilyn brings most of her creations to fruition in her studio with reference to countless sketches and photographs of her subject.

Merrilyns work can be seen in places close to home  at Woodland Park Library in the “Colorado Collection”. She did the commissioned base relief carving for the Millennium Tree installed at the Centennial Trailhead. Paintings are also represented at Mountain Living Studio gallery in Manitou Springs, Colorado and Eldorado Fine Arts Gallery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Some of her most recent short stories are in “Reflections” published by Stemmler’s Fine Art and Publishing.
